Message "I am working my way through all the Z cars. I started in the Z31's and in the Z32's now"

Uhhh, ALL? you left out the most important Z of them all, the 240Z.

"Here's where the problem is, I hate the Z33's. I will not drive a 350z if it were given to me."

Easy, don't get one.

"atleast the 240's were fast and had good style."

Fast? And they copied the XKE.

"First of all, learn from the past. Datsun 240's were light and quick, but they needed more power."

They were cheap, had independent suspension, and a 6 cylinder motor.

"Then come the 260's and the 280's, which were mistakes onto themselves. Making a car heavy, and reducing the power is never the right idea."

Bigger motors, not much more weight.

"They kept this trend until they hit the Z31's, where they did try to do an SS version, and I give them props for that."

No, Japanese car companies realized it costs the same to ship a $4000 car to the US, as a $6500 car. So cars started getting all the bells and whistles (all do-dadded up). Increasing profit.

Then, they give us the Z32.... a great car, a bit under powered, and rather fat, but a great looking and driving car.

Which is a GT car, compared the 240Z sports car.

"Now, they just needed to improve on the 300zx, but instead they give a drunk man in California control and he designs a funky car made of plastic that still isn't very fast."

They needed to produce a car that was affordable. Gee, the 350Z is a tick slower in a straight line than a TTZ. Where's that Maxima thread?

"First off, keeping the twin turbo concept, but moving it to the Vq35DE and making it a 500hp+ monster. Next, merge the skyline part time all wheel drive into the Z base, and to round it off, replace all the heavy pieces you can with lighter materials, and design the car with a wide body kit to begin with. Now were talking :)"

Now you're talking a $60,000 car. How many people here have that much lying around? You could always get a Skyline something or antoher from Motorex. They've been importing them for years. $60k gets you a nice one. What are you waiting for?

IMHO
